An Open Day is not like a 'Wedding Fair' with lots of stall-holders. At an Open Day, the Venue is on display. We have two or three key suppliers - Table Decor, DJ and the Photographer.
Starred dates in calendar have NO suppliers but the Conservatory room is laid out as if for a wedding.

See the Conservatory Wedding Banqueting room and the venue itself all set up as if for a wedding. See the Tables and Chairs arranged with latest table centrepiece ideas and fashions in chair-covers. Pick from various designs and colours for your wedding. Our preferred Supplier is Centre of Attention in Brecon.
Open Days are for Couples who have not yet settled on a wedding venue & for booked weddings looking for ideas. Come to more than one Open Day to keep up with latest trends in wedding decor. You'll always see NEW Table Decor ideas at every Open Day, so no one Open Day is the same. See previous Open Day Images below.
Open Days have a select 2 or 3 suppliers - typically a Photographer, DJ and Decor Company. Starred days are just to showcase the venue with Conservatory set up as if for a wedding, with no suppliers present.
If you have booked your wedding with us, you'll also be able to meet with our main Wedding Photographer and our preferred DJ.
You can combine a visit on an Open Day with an 'Event Finalise' meeting with your Wedding Planner, or schedule a follow-up meeting with your planner to discuss your wedding and any questions you have.

Book a Wedding Banquet Taster Meal at an Open Day
On Open Days we have Taster Meals for anyone wanting to sample the wedding menu.
On Sunday Open Days, we offer a Food Taster mostly on the Standard Wedding Breakfast Menu.
Enjoy a selection of starters, mains, and puddings, each course comprising a comprehensive selection of the different dishes served on a large platter. Select and taste virtually every course on the wedding menu.

Should I go to an Open Day or a Wedding Fair?
To meet the rest of our Suppliers come to our next Wedding Fair, with 20 - 25 Wedding Suppliers or more. We only hold one wedding fair a year.
Wedding Fairs are best attended by Couples who have already booked their wedding venue - either with us or elsewhere - who are looking for extra services for their Wedding Day. If you have not yet booked, you can also attend the wedding fairs, though you won't be able to 'view the venue' as it will be crowded with stall holders.
To 'view the venue' you should come to one of our Monthly Open Days.

We will have the Conservatory and Function room set up as if for a wedding so you'll be able to see the castle as it might look on your wedding day.
An Open Day gives you the chance to View the Castle.
Open Days are for Brides seriously considering the Castle for their wedding and wanting to see how it might look on their wedding day and also for existing booked Brides looking for room decor and layout ideas.
On an Open Day we set up the Conservatory Day Room with tables laid for a wedding, showing different themes and decorative styles and different chair cover/ sash options.
If you wish to see the venue more as it looks at a wedding, either come to an 'Open Day' or book a viewing by making an appointment here.
At an Open Day we are showcasing the venue rather than having all our rooms full of wedding suppliers. You will see the Ceremony Room and Function Room set up as if for a wedding.
A table Decorations Supplier and a couple of other suppliers specific to venue decor, such as the DJ for the function room disco set-up, will decorate the venue.
